What's going on at the Church-
l Sunday, September 12, 2010 - Old Home Day is celebrated at the Church after the 10 a.m. service. Old Home Day is when the anniversary of Barkhamsted's incorporation as a Connecticut town is celebrated. We will have a pot luck lunch and other activities. Join us for the service and bring a food item to share afterwards.
l Saturday, May 8, 2010 - Our Mother's Day tea at the Church went very well. This is our very popluar annual fundraising event. A special music program featured Marcy Alves and local musicians Becky Bridges and Mari Forman, followed by tea and homemade baked items. About 66 people attended. Keep us in mind for a great Mother's day gift to your Mom next year!
Regular Events:
l Pot Luck Suppers
Pot luck suppers are discontinued during the summer
months. When we start back up in October, they are
on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
at the church. Bring a dish to share. All are welcome.
Blanket drive a success!
Our annual Church World Services blanket drive finished up on April 4, 2010. We collected $251 for this worthy program. Funds are used in communities across the world to provide blankets, tents, food and other needs after a disaster. Funds are also used for other needs such as tools, seeds, drinking water wells and literacy.
Food Bank Collection
The Church collects non-perishable food items for an area food bank. Drop off your donations at the Church before or just after the Sunday service- the box is located just inside the main entrance.
